After studying graphic design and finding a passion for layouts and web interfaces I found myself working as a web designer for Bay Hope Church. Transforming the front door of a church that wanted a refresh. Along the way I found a passion for photography, a knack for social media content design and management, and have sharpened my skills in user interface and front end design.
One thing I love to do is create. Creativity is what keeps me going, whether that’s through designing a rad digital door for an organization, creating dope graphics for social media, or getting behind the lens and capturing creativity in the subtleties of life. I love spending time with my fiance, grabbing coffee with friends at cool coffee spots, film photography, and curating playlists. I’m also a huge sports fan of the absolute worst sports teams for some reason. Check out my instagram to see all my recent work or my current go to playlist so you can see what I've been bopping my head to.
I’ve been designing since the moment I opened up Photoshop at age 12 and made a pretty sick portrait poster that nobody should ever see. Taking classes throughout high school, I was primarily fascinated by sports logos, music festival posters, and well-designed marketing ads. Eventually, I graduated from Cedarville University with a B.A. in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Marketing. There, my passion for user interface/experience design, and layout design was discovered. For the past 5 years I’ve been working as a Web Designer/Content Designer at Bay Hope Church. During this time, I’ve truly fell in love with design and the design process, especially user interface/experience design, content creation, and photography. And for the past year or so I’ve been working as a freelance designer for Clever Marketing, building out wireframes and design mocks for client webpages, while managing Wordpress sites, building out pages in Webflow, and making YouTube Thumbnails.
I specialize in front end web design (UI/UX design), layout creation, assets and graphic design, photography, and social media management. I create primarily in Webflow, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Squarespace, and Adobe Lightroom. My design process tends to be grabbing inspiration, sketching, bringing the sketch into wireframes, and then into design, and then bringing that design to life through one of the programs I mentioned above.
When somebody comes to me with an idea, nothing excites me more than when that creator has a passion for their idea. Passion adds the fuel to the creative fire, and what better companion than a design that matches that passion with intention. If there’s no intention behind a design, a website, a post, what separates it from everything else. It won’t display the personality behind the brand. Too many websites don’t fit their audience, and designs look amazing but fail to accomplish what they were set out to do. This is why intention matters, we were intentionally created to create intentionally and that’s something I strive to achieve in all my work. This site is me, it’s in a style that I dig (which is bound to change in a month) but it serves a purpose and I also created the Dash. Which allows a visitor to experience a fun concept to know me more. Scan the QR code for desktops or click below for mobile users for a way of me to intentionally share more of me.
